A client in Switzerland with a holiday home in Greece wanted to charter a jet to take him, 11 guests and his 5 small dogs away for a ten-day trip. Since the pets were part of the family, he didn’t want to confine them to dog carriers for the journey. With few airlines willing to allow dogs to roam about on board, finding the right aircraft and crew would take some serious negotiating.
OUR SOLUTION
Finding a luxurious jet with space for 12 passengers was only part of the challenge. As the client insisted on space for his dogs to stretch their legs during the flight, we needed to find a crew willing to fly them without carriers.
A Bombardier Challenger 850 was found to fit the bill, but the airline’s policy was for the dogs be muzzled, at least for take-off and landing. For these pampered pets though, that was out of the question. Thankfully, because of our long-standing relationship with the operator, they agreed to relax their rules and let the dogs enjoy complete freedom throughout the flight. The group were soon off to the sunshine in comfort and style.
THE FINER DETAILS
Flight representation: To ensure a smooth getaway and offer reassurance to the crew, our rep met with the client at the airport before they boarded and flew out to Greece with the group.
Catering: A light menu of healthy salads was laid on for the passengers, carefully avoiding pork and garlic, as requested.
Ground transfers: Private transfers were arranged to take the group to the airport. On the way home, some passengers had to connect with scheduled flights from Geneva, so our team organised a private shuttle to the main terminal.
